Whats our Story?

It ALL STARTED SIMPLY ENOUGH...

With a small group of friends and neighbors sitting around admiring the unique beauty of Cave Creek and sipping on a handle of good whiskey. Someone wondered aloud what it would take to bring some Arizona flavor to a bottle of whiskey, and if you could, why we didn't have a neighborhood to come together to enjoy it.

Fast forward seven years and countless obstacles later to Black Mountain Tavern and Distillery. Our goals are still simple enough, handcraft Cave Creek based spirits that infuse flavors from our backyard into our whiskeys and vodkas, and offer a neighborhood tavern with outstanding and creative food and cocktails. Along the way we’ve brought beside us some incredibly talented chefs that have elevated our dining to levels we would have never imagined. We continue to instill a passion for customer service and aspire to make Black Mountain a destination for friends and family to come together and our neighbors to feel right at home.

We’re still working – we’ll always be working – because we believe that the diligent quest for perfection is what our customers deserve and what will allow Black Mountain to flourish.
